Hi, I’m Kiersten, Air Force Spouse, Family One Source Client, and now a F1S Financial Coach. My husband, Chris, and I were originally introduced to Family One Source in 2017 by a co-worker while stationed at Tyndall AFB in FL. We were amazed at how many things we learned about our benefits and especially with money and taxes. At that time my husband had been active duty for 7 years, and I wondered how many other military members and families were missing this game changing information. In 2018, I joined the F1S Team as Director of Client Services, but ultimately transitioned over to the financial planning side as a Financial Coach. I’m currently working towards my Registered Financial Planner designation.
Being a military spouse, I’ve experienced firsthand the benefits and challenges that military life can have on all aspects of life, but especially finances. My mission as a financial coach is simple, to help military families gain a better understanding of their benefits and pay. I do this by helping align their finances with their values, improve financial decision-making and behavior, decrease financial stress, take advantage of opportunities, and avoid pitfalls and find contentment with living a debt free lifestyle.
My passion for helping people has always extended to the surrounding communities where we have been stationed. I feel it’s so important to support local businesses that give back to our military community. When I’m not working, I enjoy a good cup of coffee and exploring all things Alaska!
