Christy Salmond

 Hi, I’m Christy, a Client Advisor at Family One Source and retired military veteran living in Coffee Springs, Alabama. Military life has been a significant part of my story—both through my own service and through my husband, who is also a retired veteran. That experience gives me a personal understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and financial decisions that come with serving in the military.

After retiring from the military, I turned another passion of mine into a new chapter by starting an equestrian facility, where I’ve provided riding lessons, horse training, and sales. Building and running the facility has given me the opportunity to teach, connect with others, and continue doing something I love while developing a whole new set of skills outside of military life.

What excites me most about joining Family One Source is having the opportunity to work with military members and their families again—this time helping them better understand their finances and the resources available to them. I want to provide the kind of financial insight and guidance I wish I had received while I was still serving. Being able to use my own experiences to help others make informed decisions and prepare for their future makes this role especially meaningful to me.

Family is at the center of everything I do. Outside of work, I enjoy running, reading, riding horses, and spending time with the people I love most. If there’s one thing that describes me, it’s perseverance. Whether throughout my military career, building a business after retirement, or taking on a new challenge, I believe in continuing to move forward and seeing things through.

I’m excited to bring that same determination and passion for service to Family One Source and to help military families feel more informed and confident about their financial future.
